Thanks to your story ["10,000 Honey Bees Saved in Westfield"], I reached out to Mickey the Beekeeper today when my neighbors and I found swarms of bees in one of our trees. He came right over and spent about an hour and a half here at Cowperthwaite Square. It turns out that our bees were honey bees and they were, as your story explained, in search of a new home.
Amazingly, he brought them all out of the tree and into a box filled with combs and honey. He did a great job and is wonderful for the environment, as these little critters are essential for the pollination of crops and flowers. He also did a wonderful job teaching us senior citizens a lesson about bees.
Thanks so much for your story!
