The Westfield Area YMCA’s Winter program registration begins at 6:00 pm on Thursday, December 8th for Gold and Silver members and at 7:30 am, Monday, December 12th for Program and Non-Members. The Winter Session runs from January 2nd-February 25th.
New classes for adults this winter include: Cardio Strength Blast, Cardio Strength High Intensity Interval Training (H.I.I.T.), Express Spin, Express, Strength and Core, Kick Butt Interval, Open Cycle, Adult Jazz/Hip Hop, Ballet and Tap Classes.
Youth and teens can enjoy new classes this winter such as Musical Theatre, Intro 2 Dance, Youth Yoga and Jr. Youth and Government.
Special Health Group programs this session include: Delay the Disease: Exercise to Fight Parkinson’s Symptoms; land and water-based Arthritis Exercise Programs; Project Healthy Bones for those who have or are at risk of developing osteoporosis; and Special Population Personal Training.
There is something for everyone. Active Adults can attend Lunchtime Lectures; learn how to play bridge or attend the “Ageless Grace Class Sampler” or the Annual Active Adult Appy Hour. Families can celebrate the season with a Swim with Santa Claus.
The Y continues to offer swim lessons and sport classes for every age and skill level. Free swim assessments are available. Enjoy FREE Wellness Wednesdays every Wednesday through December 21st.
A wide selection of childcare options are available from ages 6 months through school age, including full-day childcare, preschool, full-day Kindergarten and before/after school care. With programs in Westfield, Mountainside and Garwood, the Y is convenient and flexible.
