Register for Westfield Area YMCA's Programs & Get Ready for a Healthier You this Spring

The Westfield Area YMCA’s Spring 1 program registration begins at 6:00 pm on Thursday, February 9th for Gold and Silver members and at 7:30 am, Monday, February 13th for Program and Non-Members.  The Spring 1 Session runs from February 26th – April 22nd.  
New classes for adults this spring include: Triathlon Swim & Run Training, Cardio Strength Blast, Cardio Strength High Intensity Interval Training (H.I.I.T.), Express Spin, Express Strength and Core, Kick Butt Interval, and Open Cycle. 
Dance Academy offers a new studio space for students of all abilities and skill levels from ages 3 years old through adult.  Classes include: Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Modern and Musical Theatre. 
Youth and teens can enjoy new classes such as Youth Yoga, MVB Basketball and Jr. Youth and Government. Youth Leagues such as Basketball, Indoor Soccer and T-Ball are also being offered.   
Special Health Group programs this session include:  Ageless Grace, Delay the Disease:  Exercise to Fight Parkinson’s Symptoms; land and water-based Arthritis Exercise Programs; Project Healthy Bones for those who have or are at risk of developing osteoporosis; and Special Population Personal Training. Young adults ages 18-26 years with special/adaptive needs can enjoy a variety of Dragonfly programs that include new Dance and Stretch, Yoga, Strength & Conditioning, Boxing, Personal Training, Group Social Games, Games & Cards, Current Event Group and Crafts.   
There is something for everyone.  Active Adults can attend Lunchtime Lectures; learn how to play bridge or be a part of the Book Group. Families can come and build a better Y by supporting an Annual Support Campaign Event this spring such as President’s Day Jump on February 20th, World Yoga Day on February 26th or Pizza Palooza on March 5th.     
The Westfield Area YMCA offers diving lessons (ages 6+), swim lessons and sport classes for every age and skill level.  Free swim assessments are available.  
Don’t forget to register your child ages 3-15 for 2017 Summer Camps. Registration is also going on now for childcare education programs for the 2017-2018 school year. There is a wide selection of childcare options available including full-day childcare, full/half day preschool, full-day Kindergarten and before/after school care. With programs in Westfield, Mountainside and Garwood, the Y is convenient and flexible.
