The Westfield Area YMCA is excited to announce that traditional day camp programs for kids entering grades K through 10 will begin July 6. Registration is now underway.

All camps will meet the new guidelines set by the CDC, ACA (American Camp Association) and state and local health departments. These include social distancing regulations, small consistent groups, temperature check and daily screenings each day at drop off.  All staff are being trained on Covid-19 safety, disinfecting and best practices for a safe classroom. All equipment, tools and toys will be disinfected several times a day and/or after use by children. Camp staff will wear masks.

Traditional camps offer a wide range of activities such as arts and crafts, sports, STEAM activities, social and emotional learning and time outside. Campers will play games they love and games they’ve never played before. Specialty days like Crazy Hair Day and Mismatch Day and weekly themes such as Aloha Summer and Under the Sea will enhance the fun. A fun academic skills refresher will be incorporated into all camps this year.
