CLARK, NJ – Raritan Road is closed from Westfield Avenue to Gibson Boulevard on Saturday morning due to a downed utility pole. An overnight motor vehicle left the pole in pieces and wires stretched across the roadway. Utility crews were on the scene to replace the pole and repair the wiring.
According to a PSE&G representative, only one home is without power. Repairs will stretch throughout the day as multiple utility companies must be called in to transfer service from the pole.
Motorists should avoid the area.
