ROSELLE PARK, NJ — Katherine Y. Bracamonte, age 30 of Avenel, NJ, was arrested on Feb. 15, around 11:49 p.m. for endangering the welfare of a minor, driving while intoxicated and traveling the wrong way in the area of W. Westfield Ave. and Faitoute Ave., according to police.
According to Roselle Park Police, Officer Kyle Snyder observed a 2015 Nissan traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes of W. Westfield at Faitoute Ave. that night. The driver of the vehicle, Bracamonte, had three passengers with her all of which were under the age of seven and none of which were wearing seat belts or in child seats.
Police said that, following an investigation, Bracamonte was charged with endangering the welfare of a minor. She was also issued several motor vehicle summonses for driving while intoxicated, consumption of an alcoholic beverage within a motor vehicle, driving with a suspended license, reckless driving, driving the wrong way on a highway and failure to use a car seat or restraint for a child under 8 years old.
Bracamonte was also discovered to have an outstanding warrant out of Scotch Plains Municipal Court which was satisfied, according to police. She was ultimately released into the custody of a family member with a future court date.
