UNION, NJ – Santa made a special visit to Maplecrest Ford Lincoln on Friday evening in his Ford Mustang-style sleigh. Maplecrest Ford has been gathering toys for the "Santa in Blue" toy drive program, run by the Township of Union Police Department.

Sgt. Mike Boll was on hand to collect the carload of toys.

“Maplecrest Ford has been a toy drop-off point for many years,” said Sgt. Boll. “This year, they wanted to do more, so they set up this event with Santa.”

Stephen Giordano, President of Maplecrest, said Maplecrest is happy to support the "Santa in Blue" program and has been doing so for over 20 years.

Santa took pictures with the kids and each child received a small gift. For the adults, they were eligible to receive an extra bonus off the purchase of a new or certified pre-owned car if they brought an unwrapped toy to the event.

The "Santa in Blue" toy drive continued on Sunday, Dec, 20, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Union High School. A collection box is also available inside Union Town Hall.
