Members of Second Connect, Temple Emanu-El's group of congregants who fall into the "baby boomer" generation, had fun attending "Barrels of Fun - A Wine Making Adventure Tour," held at The Wine Room, a wine making facility in Green Brook where they dined and drank wine in a wine cellar atmosphere, similar to that of a Tuscan villa. The owner of the facility explained how wine is made over the course of a year and participants saw the equipment that is used as well as the barrels of wine.

Second Connect, whose purpose is to help people re-connect with friends from the past, and to connect with new friends while enjoying adult events together, held two other successful events last year: a Comedy Night at the Crossroads in Garwood, and a "Kugel Kontest" at the Temple.  (Kugel is a traditional Jewish dish made with noodles, eggs, and vegetables or fruits.)
