FANWOOD, NJ -- The Borough of Fanwood Saturday officially welcomed the Shave Cave, a full-service barber shop, located on South Avenue next to the post office in the space vacated by DeFrancesco Realty.
The Shave Cave is owned by Tommy Disporto of Garwood and is open 7 days a week. The renovations took four months, according to Disporto, who had a soft opening on August 14.
Joined by members of Mindy Scarlett and Gene Jannotti, executive director of the Greater Westfield Area Chamber of Commerce, Mayor Colleen Mahr helped cut the ribbon and welcomed Disporto’s business.
"We are so glad that you are here and have invested in the Borough of Fanwood. It's a big investment financially, physically and emotionally," said Mayor Mahr before cutting the ribbon. "It's great that you are opening on Small Business Saturday."
