Customer friendly volunteers at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Westfield are gearing up to receive and sort a plethora of books for this year’s Giant Book Sale at the Church’s Parish Hall. Sponsored annually by the Friends of Music at St. Paul's, the Sale starts on Sunday, November 6th (Noon to 5pm), continues on Monday, November 7th (9am to 9pm), and closes on Tuesday, November 8 (Bag Day, 9am until Noon). Book enthusiasts from all over New Jersey are invited and expected to attend the sale.
“We welcome everyone,” says St. Paul’s Minister of Music Charles M. Banks. Banks, who spearheads the Sale every year, adds that “typically, people come in search of Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa or birthday gift books, how-to or self-improvement manuals, Romance novels, or just for those few special reads or rare finds that they hope to buy at low prices.”
In fact, thousands of donated books in a wide variety of popular categories will be offered to the general public at very reasonable prices. Also for sale are low-priced videos, software, CDs, records, DVDs, oversized books, games and puzzles.
Proceeds from the sale will support the various musical programs, concerts, and activities offered to the general public at St. Paul’s throughout the year.
