MOUNTAINSIDE, NJ — There’s no shortage of history in the Hetfield House, including new ways to raise money to preserve the Borough’s most beloved gem. This year, the restored property which dates back as far as 1760 will be transformed into a Prohibition-era inspired club on Friday, Feb. 23.
Bootleggers and Flappers are encouraged to dress in roaring 20’s attire and arrive at 7 p.m. for a cocktail reception. A buffet dinner with costumed servers will follow, paired with live music by Joe DeVico and his Speakeasy Trio, courtesy of Arbor Terrace Mountainside Senior Living.
The event is likely to sell out quickly, so please make your reservations as soon as possible. Proceeds from this fundraiser will benefit the Mountainside Restoration Committee. (In case of snow, the event will be held on Feb. 24).
The cost is $75 per person and can be paid online at www.mountainsidehistory.org (click on DONATE) or mail a check payable to Mountainside Restoration Committee, Inc. no later than February 16 to Mountainside Restoration Committee, Inc., c/o Carol Goggi, 1125 Ridge Dr., Mountainside, NJ 07092.
