If I had to pick one thing that is a staple for feeling good, boosting protein and detoxing and alkalizing the body, I would say it is algae. In the form of spirulina and chlorella. Algae was the very first plant life on earth and is considered a superfood because it contains virtually every nutrient. It has over 60 percent protein content, over 40 vitamins and minerals and a more complete amino acid profile than beef or soy beans. It is also one of the best known food sources of beta carotene, B vitamins, antioxidants and chlorophyll.

Spirulina algae is a cultivated algae which has been consumed for thousands of years. It has the highest concentration of protein on earth – triple that of steak as well as the second highest concentration of an Essential Fatty Acid called GLA (second only to mother’s milk). Its nutrient profile is so similar to mothers milk, it is considered a “perfect food.”

Chlorella algae is harvested in fresh water tanks and has been used for over fifty years in Asia. It has a remarkable ability to help remove toxins and help build the immune system, all naturally. Chlorella contains over 40 nutrients including all the B vitamins, vitamin C, zinc  and many minerals. It offers so many benefits.

Many people in Japan take chlorella, not Vitamin C before they leave their house each morning. And for good reason, chlorella contains a vast number of vitamins and nutrients, including Vitamin C, Zinc and all the B vitamins.

But in a nutritional “show down,” American Idol style, chlorella algae, would beat Vitamin C hands down due to its 60 percent protein and various nutrients. You take a shower to clean the outside of your body every day, right? Well taking chlorella every day is like giving your body a shower on the inside. This is because chlorella has a unique ability to pull toxins out of your cells and eliminate them. Taking chlorella daily can help remove the toxins that are in your food, water and air while also removing free radicals or lactic acid you generate from intense physical activity. Chlorella algae binds to all toxins (including alcohol in your bloodstream) and eliminates them from the body through natural means (elimination, urine, sweat, etc).

It is particularly good to accompany a detox, good sweat session or infrared sauna with chlorella to help pull and eliminate toxins.

We now have the chlorella and spirulina combo tablets in stock. These are the easiest thing on the planet to incorporate into your daily life. You reap tremendous benefits from such a small and easy ritual.  Energy is ramped up, alkalinity is increased, immunity is boosted, skin is luminous. Vitamins added and toxins pulled … what are you waiting for?

Sinai or Sanctuary?

And in the beginning, G‑d was homeless, and so G‑d asked His people to set Him up with some digs. Where does it say that? Well, nowhere, actually. But it does say that G‑d instructed Moses to tell the people, “They shall make for Me a Sanctuary, that I may dwell among them.”

Imagine a Chatham Toboggan Ride from the Top of Fairmount Avenue to Main Street

Did you know….
there was a time when Chatham kids could ice skate from downtown Chatham all the way to Florham Park? And that a toboggan ride could last from the top of Fairmount Avenue down to Main Street and beyond?

Those were the days!

This was back in the early to mid-1900s. The Passaic River meandered through grassy meadows and woods on the north side of Chatham. The marshy ...
