SPRINGFIELD, NJ — Township Committeewoman Geri Bujnowski officiated at the Labor Day opening in Springfield of Hobby Lobby on Route 22 East.
Local employees including the store manager and personnel from corporate held a prayer service prior to the ribbon cutting. The doors opened promptly at 9 a.m. and customers were treated to refreshments from Chick-fil-A.
“We’re extremely excited to be here,” corporate representative Vince Parker said. “We really feel like we can bring something special to the community and we are looking forward to becoming part of the family of Springfield.”
A devoted group of shoppers were on hand at the open to shop. The aisles were well-stocked with seasonal items craft supplies and decorative objects.
Store hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m, according to Hobby Lobby's website.
