WESTFIELD, NJ —Inside Jersey, published by The Star-Ledger, recently gave Westfield High School a “B” grade in an article ranking the top performing high schools in the state. The grade means that the school had higher than average test scores and showed some of the most improvement over the past four years, according to the article.
The story compared results during a four-year period, looking for trends in student achievement. Ratings were created using data from the New Jersey Department of Education and SAT scores. Schools were given grades of A, B, C and D.
WHS got some of Union County's highest SAT scores, according to the article.
