SUMMIT, NJ — Matthew Gould, elected to serve Ward 1 on the Summit Common Council in 2017, died unexpectedly the evening of Aug. 13 at Morristown Medical Center from a heart condition. Gould, also council president pro tempore, was 48 years old.
Gould and his family have lived in Summit for more than a decade, and he was president of New York City-based Continuum Entertainment, a factual content video and film production company.
Gould worked in the media and entertainment industry for twenty years, holding senior executive positions at a range of America’s top publishing and broadcasting companies, including the Discovery Channel, TLC, Travel Channel, The New York Times and Time Warner.
