Technology is the topic of interest in March on Focus on Education, the TV show hosted by the Westfield Public Schools.  The panelists on this month’s show include (l-r seated) Marie-Laure Hoffman, French teacher at Westfield High School; Gary McCready, Board of Education member; Margaret Dolan, Superintendent of Schools;  and standing, Brian Auker, Chief Technology Officer; Scott Lipson, fifth grade teacher at Wilson Elementary School; and Ryan Belline, Mathematics teacher at Edison Intermediate School.  The teachers discuss how they integrate technology into the classroom, while Brian Auker gives an update on the district’s infrastructure.  Dr. Dolan notes that one of the goals in the school district’s strategic plan is to develop increased opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and math fields, or STEM.  The show is available as a link at www.westfieldnjk12.org/video and also is airing on WHS-TV 36 every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 2 PM and 6 PM, as well as every Sunday at 2 PM through early April.
