On behalf of the Westfield High School Helping Hands (WHSHH) Fund board, thank you for your recent support of the A Day Without fund drive. The drive collected $620 for the WHSHH Fund. This annual fundraising drive is coordinated and run by the students from the WHS Community Service Club. The students ran the entire fundraiser, including the rolling of all of the coins collected. Thank you students for your hard (and tedious) work!! The fundraising drive asks the WHS community of students and staff to have ‘a day without’ a purchase such as a coffee, snack bar, bag of chips, a phone app, etc. and to donate these saved monies to the fund.
The WHSHH Fund was created in 2012 out of a desire to help ease the financial burden placed on families during stressful times due to serious illness, death or an extraordinary life situation. Since its inception, the fund has distributed almost $28,000 to over 30 families from the WHS community.
Your donations directly impact the lives of families within the Westfield High School community. Be rest assured, we are very thoughtful in how the monies are distributed. Direct donations are critical to the ongoing success of the fund.
Please note many families, who have been recipients of these funds, have expressed their heartfelt thanks to the WHSHH board for the financial assistance we could provide. We truly appreciate your donations and are very grateful for the past and future generosities of the Westfield High School community.
