WESTFIELD, NJ — About 2,400 runners and thousands more spectators came to Downtown Westfield Wednesday night for the 16th annual 5K & Pizza Extravaganza.

“Great weather, wonderful sponsors and a supportive community made for a great event,” Sherry Cronin, executive director of the Downtown Westfield Corporation, said. “Special thanks to the town of Westfield, the police department and our volunteers for keeping people safe and our department of public works crew, who did a Hurculean  job in cleaning up. Our motto is to leave it better than we found it and we did.”
