WESTFIELD, NJ — Mayor Andy Skibitsky proclaimed March Westfield Volunteer Rescue Squad Month during Tuesday night’s town council meeting.

“We are very fortunate to have fully functioning rescue squad that works 24/7, 365 days a year,” Skibitsky said. “The number of calls that they go on, the number of people that they serve, the number of people that they save and the number of babies that they deliver is truly quite impressive.”

The WVRS is staffed entirely by volunteers and funded by donations. To learn about becoming a volunteer and to donate, click here.
