RARITAN VALLEY, NJ — NJ Transit rail commuters faced delays of up to 30 minutes in both directions during Tuesday's evening rush hour following earlier brush fires between Newark and New York. The delays impacted riders along the Raritan Valley Line, as well as Northeast Corridor and Jersey Coast Lines.

Train service between Newark Penn Station and Penn Station New York had resumed. Meanwhile, PATH honored NJT rail tickets and passes at 33rd St, Hoboken and Newport Pavonia stations throughout the evening.
