Our guest speakers, Leopold Bolona, MD, Megan Brown, PhD, Rosanne Kurstedt, PhD & Gina Totino, LCSW will focus on effective approaches to understanding and working with difficult behaviors. Collaboration is key to ensuring consistency, structure, and a positive outcome for children. This panel discussion will answer your questions and guide you and those that work with your child on how to collaborate for a positive outcome.

 Leopold Bolona, MD: Dr. Bolona is an experienced board certified child psychiatrist serving adults and children. He follows a multidisciplinary, yet individualized treatment methodology. His expertise is in assessment and treatment planning, which he approaches conservatively and with compassion. He takes time with evaluations and works with necessary counterparts (schools, doctors, therapists, family members, etc.) to develop the most effective treatment plan. Dr. Bolona treats a wide range of conditions including behavioral issues, neurodevelopmental disorders, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, anxiety, depression, and mood disorders. He serves as a consulting psychiatrist for the Roselle Park Board of Education. Dr.  

 Megan Brown, PhD: Dr. Brown is a licensed clinical psychologist and owner of Brown Psychological Services. She has specialized training in preschool, forensic, and neuropsychological evaluations, with an in depth focus on the assessment and treatment of ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Dr. Brown also consults to school districts and preschools. Her practice offers individual treatment for children, adolescents, and young adults focused on improving self-regulation, social problem solving, and identifying and regulating emotions through various treatment modalities.

 Rosanne Kurstedt, PhD:  Rosanne is an accomplished educator with 20+ years experience working with pre-school through 8th grade students, novice and veteran teachers, and Masters’ students. She is passionate in her support of collaborative learning environments that nurture reflective practitioners and increase students’ social and emotional well-being as well as achievement. She is the cofounder of Writers Experience, a summer workshop for students in grades 2-5 and a children’s book author.

 Gina Totino, LCSW: Gina specializes in clinical work with children, adolescents, families, and adults. She has unique training and expertise in the use of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), which focuses on the treatment of mood, behavioral and emotional dysregulation, self-injurious behaviors, and suicidality. Her therapeutic work is informed by DBT when working with children, parents, couples, and siblings.

CEU’S (1.5 CREDITS) WILL BE OFFERED FREE OF CHARGE.
