The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Service Administration (SAMHSA) has again declared the week of May 12th as National Prevention Week.  National Prevention Week is a SAMHSA-supported annual health observance dedicated to increasing public awareness of, and action around, substance abuse and mental health issues. This observance is an opportunity to join with other individuals, organizations, and coalitions in your community to promote prevention efforts, educate others about behavioral health issues, and create and strengthen community partnerships

Recognizing the importance of prevention efforts across the nation, as well as all the great work that is done here in Union County, Freeholder Chairman Linda Carter and the Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders will present the Union County Regional Coalition (now known as HAWC of UC) and Prevention Links with a Resolution declaring the week of May 12 through May 18 Prevention Week in Union County.
