As a culminating activity to their study of World War II and genocide, eighth graders at The Wardlaw-Hartridge School in Edison created Identity Museum exhibits.
Responding to the question "How do you want to be remembered?", students selected and currated objects from their lives that convey their essence. During the study of the Holocaust, students learned that many children and adults were lost and the important details of their lives forgotten.
Exhibits concluded with a short video of each student sharing thoughts about his or her exhibit and personal motto. An "identity wall" invited visitors and curators alike to add their names to a permanent artifact of this special day.
