Eighth grade Edison Intermediate student and principal violist Dylan McCann performed at Carnegie Hall with NJYS Philharmonia, conducted by Mark Gunderman, on Sunday, March 12. Philharmonia played Franz Schubert's Symphony No. 8 in B minor L Allegro non troppo and Edvard Grieg's Peer Gynt Suite No. 1 IV. In der Halle des Bergkonigs.
 
NJYS Sinfonia ensemble conducted by Nate White opened the show with Antonia Vivaldi's Et Exultavit from Magnificat. The event was a celebration of music and song in conjunction with youth choirs from across the country.
 
Dylan is a member of four orchestras, including a three time regional member. He plans to continue pursuing music while attending the Union County Magnet School in September.
