WESTFIELD, NJ — The Westfield Area Y will host a free health and wellness open house at the Main Y Facility, 220 Clark Street in Westfield, on Sunday, Sept. 7, from 11:45 a.m. to 2 p.m.
This event is open to Y members and non-members and includes information on group exercise classes and personal training; small group and individual nutrition consultations and classes; the Active Trax program, which creates a new, personalized, printable workout every time you visit the Y based on your fitness level, progress and health and wellness goals; and TRX Suspension training—get a taste of this challenging and comprehensive workout.
“The idea behind this event is to provide one-on-one information about our physical programs, from group exercise to personal training,” says Lynne Applebaum, Westfield Area Y Associate Health & Wellness/Membership Director. “We have designed programming at our Y that is appropriate for a variety of populations. Some individuals may need special attention paid to them, and we provide the support and facilities to make them feel comfortable and very welcome. Additionally, we will be showcasing TRX Suspension Training to anyone who is interested in learning more about this wonderful fitness tool.”
Participants in the open house will be entered into a drawing to win one of three personal training sessions. Like the Westfield Area Y on Facebook to receive an additional chance in the drawing.
