It may be cold outside but the Westfield Area YMCA is gearing up for summer camp!  In-person registration is now underway.  Each year campers ages 3-15 try new activities, learn new skills, get creative, have a blast and make new friends in a safe environment.

The Y is excited to offer new S.T.E.A.M (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) camps this summer such as various Bricks 4 Kidz® Camps, Coding With Kids, Dance Starz, Fashion Design, Hands On Art, Video Game Design and Young Scientists.

Westfield Area YMCA Camp programs also feature traditional, sports, specialty, travel and teen camps. Children can join for one or more weeks or all summer long. Full-day, half-day and extended day programs are available for campers. Camp programs are located in Garwood, Mountainside and Westfield. All Westfield Area YMCA camp programs are accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA) meeting up to 300 standards for health, safety and program quality.  Inclusion Camp is also available. Contact Marty Collett at (908) 233-2700 x405 to schedule an individual appointment to determine if this is the right program for your child.

An “Early Bird Special” of 10 percent  off is being offered for those who register their child and pay in full for Y summer camps by Jan. 30.  The special is not valid for before, after or combo care.  However, multiple child discounts do apply, allowing for a five percent savings for all additional children within the same family registered for the same week(s) of any traditional camp.

Visit the Main Y Facility Welcome Center at 220 Clark Street or call (908) 233-2700 for more information on the Westfield Area YMCA’s 2017 Summer Day Camp programs.  A complete camp guide can also be found by visiting www.westfieldynj.org.  Financial assistance is available for those who qualify.
