Always wanted to learn to play a string instrument? Warren Cohen, Artistic Director of the NJ Intergenerational Orchestra, will teach the basics of learning how to play a violin or cello including the proper technique for holding the instrument and producing good tone.
Knowing how to read music is not required, and an instrument is provided to each participant. The class will meet for eight Thursdays beginning September 19 from 12:30 to 2 p.m.
This program is available to Westfield Area Y members and the community. There is a maximum class size of 10 students, and registration will not be accepted after September 16.
