Group Swim Classes Begin Aug. 1.

Whether you’re an experienced lap swimmer or are just looking for a supplemental form of exercise, the YMCA is offering lane reservations in the 25-yard Wallace Pool. Hours (subject to change) are Monday – Friday, 5:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 5 – 8 p.m. and Saturday 6:30 – 9:30 a.m. Lanes can be reserved up to 72 hours in advance. 

The Y is strictly adhering to all state health and safety protocols and CDC guidelines including temperature checks, health screening questions and social distancing. Face masks are required except when in the pool or actively participating in high intensity exercise.

A four-week Youth Swim Class session begins Aug. 1. The Y is pleased to offer Swim Basics (YMCA Stages 1-3), Swim Strokes (YMCA Stages 4-5), Stroke Mechanics (Stage 6), Aquatic Conditioning, Teen Group and Adult Group lessons.

Youth, teen and adult individual lessons are also available.

Please note that locker rooms are not available at this time. A restroom will be made available if needed, but not for changing.  Participants are asked to bring aquatic footwear, a towel, goggles and water bottle.
