The Westfield Public Schools opened on Sept. 8 with more than 6,300 students ready to start the new school year.  One of the district’s earliest learners, Louis Mattielli, along with his parents Marcus and Stephanie, are welcomed by Lincoln kindergarten teacher Linda D’Onofrio. Louis follows in the footsteps of his father who is a 1997 Westfield High School graduate.

Ready to start the new school year are kindergarten students (l-r) Coby Fisher, Jed Belosa, Audriana Nastasi, Bailey Gaines and Zach Berman.

All of the children entering Lincoln School on their first day were greeted by Principal Audrey Zavetz (in background), by Paraprofessional Indhira Quezada Sanchez and by Pre-K teacher Andrea Taylor, blowing bubbles to celebrate each child’s arrival.
