It’s summertime, and that means enjoying fresh local produce provided by your nearby farmers’ market. This season, don’t forget to buy your produce and goods at the Westfield Farmer’s Market.

Starting on Saturday, June 2, 2018 you can find the Westfield Farmer’s Market at its new location in the North Avenue train station parking lot every Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. until October 27, 2018  While there are limited parking spaces in the North Avenue lot, there will be FREE PARKING in South Avenue Lot #3.

After speaking with vendors who expressed a desire to move to the North Avenue lot in order to attract more customers, Market Manager Chris Devine worked with town officials to make the move in time for this summer.  As a result, “this year’s market has a 50 percent increase in the number of vendors participating,” said Councilwoman Dawn Mackey.

In expressing his vision of the market being a place for members of the community to gather, Mr. Devine said, “The farmer’s market is a place where local residents can meet friends and neighbors for a cup of morning coffee while doing their weekly shopping.”

This season, all sorts of wonderful things will be offered at the market, like mozzarella making demos and live music in addition to new organic produce.  So grab your tote bags and support local farmers and businesses.
