FLEMINGTON, NJ - The Westfield Blue Devils varsity football team was defeated by Hunterdon Central, 34-7, in a game at Hunterdon Central on Oct. 4.

Hunterdon's Red Devils' Jason Cabinda scored three touchdowns. Chris Hogge's 15-yard pass to David Kane in the second quarter accounted for the only touchdown for Westfield, which evened its record at 2-2.

"We played against a really good team," said Blue Devils coach James DeSarno. "We played hard, but we just couldn't get into the rhythm."

Eugene Rawles rushed for 60 yards on 18 carries for Westfield, which will play its next game on Oct. 12 at home game against Union.
