MONTGOMERY, NJ - At the Individual NJSIAA Championships on Saturday at Montgomery High School, Westfield tri-captain Jenna Rizkalla competed all-around and Westfield tri-captain Hannah Goldring competed on balance beam and floor exercise. 

From nearby schools, Jamie Bush of Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School competed on balance beam. Gina Ferdinandi of A.L. Johnson High School in Clark also competed all-around, and Payton Wiese of ALJ competed in on the beam.

These competitors earned their spots in the individual state competition based on their scores and places at the North Jersey Section II meet, which was won by Westfield High School.

At the championships, held two days after the New Jersey high school team competition, Rizkalla placed 10th all-around in the state, with event finishes of fourth on floor exercise, eighth on balance beam and eighth on uneven bars.

The all-around winner was Julianna Drapkin of Holmdel, who also took first place as a freshman in 2012 and was runner-up last year when competing for Bishop Ahr.

Rizkalla, Goldring and Westfield tri-captain Mae Devin will compete with the New Jersey delegation at Nationals in May, 2015.
