The Westfield Memorial Library is pleased to announce that the Christopher Dean Band will return to the library on Wednesday, Sept. 25 at 7 p.m. The library is located at 550 East Broad St.

Christopher Dean is a New Jerset native who has resided in Freemansburg, Pa. for the past six years. He has been touring since 1997 full time as a traveling blues/soul musician. He started playing guitar at age 15 and studied various styles of blues and soul guitar after high school.

Early influences include Charlie Patton, B.B. King and Magic Sam. He has recorded two highly acclaimed blues CDs with Big Jack: “All The Way Back” and “Roots Stew.” He also recorded several CDs since then including: “Three Times A Fool,” “Where I Need To Be” and “What I Need.” The band covers everything from Marvin Gaye, Chuck Berry, Al Green, Kool and The Gang to BB King.

The event is free and open to Westfield Memorial Library and MURAL cardholders. (MURAL cardholders belong to libraries that are part of the Middlesex Union Reciprocal Agreement Libraries.
