Origami is the traditional Japanese art of paper folding. Participants will learn basic origami folds and how to make a simple winter bouquet to take home. Materials will be provided.

Origami expert and arts teacher Joy Ann J. Cabanos will teach the class how to make an exquisite winter flower bouquet. No experience with origami or particular artistic talent is required — the instructor makes it an easy and fun craft for adults.

Total Body Renew Yoga will be presented by yoga teacher Lorraine Harwelik. According to Harwelik, the class is for anyone who feels stiff, sore or grumpy.

“Do your joints feel like they need a grease job?” she asked. “Did you know that you can upgrade your body's strength, flexibility, and agility? Total Body Renew Yoga can increase your efficiency and overall comfort level.”

This system of yoga movements is designed to help class members unlock their movement and comfort potential by safely warming and releasing muscle fibers and increasing the joints' range of motion.

Lorraine M. Harwelik is a registered yoga teacher, certified herbalist, and licensed New Jersey educator. She has presented many well attended programs at the library including, Yoga for Gardeners and the Health Benefits of Herbs.

Participants can take one, two or all three classes, but classes are small, so registration is strongly suggested.

The programs are open to Westfield Memorial Library and MURAL cardholders. (MURAL cardholders belong to the 43 libraries that are part of the Middlesex Union Reciprocal Agreement Libraries.
