The Westfield Memorial Library is pleased to announce that the Library is extending even more privileges to Middlesex and Union Reciprocal Agreement Libraries (MURAL) cardholders. MURAL patrons belong to 43 participating libraries in Middlesex and Union Counties.
MURAL patrons do not live or work in Westfield, but they are allowed to borrow materials from the Westfield library, as long as they have a valid home library card. Now MURAL patrons can borrow White Label DVDs, which are the most recent DVDs, for $1.50 a day.
MURAL cardholders can also borrow Children’s White Label DVDs for $1.50 per day, and Blue Label DVDs, which are older items, for $1.00 per week.
Children’s Playaways and Playaway Views can also be borrowed at no charge. A Playaway is a self contained, digital audio book, and a Playaway View is an all-in-one video player in a simple, portable, durable format.
The 43 libraries that are part of MURAL are Berkeley Heights, Carteret, Clark, Cranbury, Cranford, Dunellen, Edison, Elizabeth, Fanwood, Garwood, Highland Park, Hillside, Jamesburg, Kenilworth, Linden, Long Branch, Metuchen, Middlesex, Milltown, Monroe Township, Mountainside, New Brunswick, New Providence, North Providence, Old Bridge, Perth Amboy, Piscataway, Plainfield, Plainsboro, Rahway, Roselle, Roselle Park, Sayreville, Scotch Plains, South Amboy, South Brunswick, South Plainfield, South River, Spotswood, Springfield, Summit, Union and Westfield.
Founded in 1879, the Westfield Memorial Library—the community’s destination for discovery and ideas—engages minds, entertains spirits and facilitates lifelong learning for people of all ages. Hours are 9:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday; 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Friday and Saturday; and closed on Sunday for the summer.
