WESTFIELD, NJ — The Martin Luther King, Jr. Association of Westfield announced that it will hold a vigil for peace on Thursday, July 21, at 8 p.m. at the MLK monument in Downtown Westfield.
“The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Association of Westfield is organizing a candlelight vigil for peace in order to give Westfielders the opportunity to take a moment to pause, consider and think about the violence against citizens and the violence against police in our country,” Elizabeth Wolf, vice president of the association, said.
The approximately 30-minute event will feature music and inspirational speech. Candles will be provided by the MLK Association.
The MLK monument is located on the South Avenue Circle.
