WESTFIELD, NJ — To make it easier for people to renew their commuter and residential parking permits, the Westfield Police Department's parking services office will be open on three Saturdays in January, Westfield Police Chief David Wayman announced Monday.

The office, usually open only on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., will be open from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Jan. 2, 9 and 16.

In December, Westfield's town council voted to raise the price of an annual commuter parking permit by $60, or about 25 cents per business day.
