Office Habeiche arrested Eman A. Fawaz, age 19, of North Plainfield, NJ, for an outstanding criminal warrant ($1,000) out of the Westfield Municipal Court pursuant to turning himself in at headquarters. Subject was processed and placed in cell in lieu of bail.

Officers Santangelo and Bagan arrested Justin Cruz, age 22, of Scotch Plains for possession of marijuana under 60 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia pursuant to a motor vehicle stop in the area of 600 W. South Ave. Subject was transported to headquarters, processed and released with a summons.

March 30, 2017 2:33 a.m.

Officers Forcenito and Martinez arrested Ozan Yucetepe, age 22, of 1000 Central Ave, Westfield on the strength of a Fanwood Municipal Court warrant in the amount of $183 pursuant to a motor vehicle stop on Centennial Ave by Washington. Subject was transported to headquarters, processed and released after posting bail.

March 29, 2017 8:50 p.m.

A resident in the 200 block of Hyslip Avenue reports being the victim of a burglary to their residence. Entry was gained through a second-floor window in the rear of the house. Stolen from residence included numerous pieces of jewelry. Time frame for burglary was between 6:30 p.m. and 8:15 p.m.

April 2, 2017 11:24 p.m.

Luis Alvarez, age 24, of North Plainfield was arrested on the strength of an outstanding warrant for his arrest from Plainfield Municipal Court for $180, pursuant to a motor vehicle stop. Subject was processed and posted bail.

April 3,2017 11:32 a.m.

Officers Gill and Ferry Shawn Kim, age 46, of Fort Lee, NJ, on an outstanding traffic warrant issued by Weehawken Municipal Court with bail set at $145 subsequent to a motor vehicle stop. Subject was transported to Westfield Police Department, processed, and released on recognizance. 

April 4, 2017 10:11 a.m.

Officers Jaramillo and Moya arrested Varathara Thambiah, age 57, of Iselin, NJ, on an outstanding warrant issued by Woodbridge Municipal Court subsequent to a motor vehicle stop. Subject was transported to Westfield Police Department, processed, and released after posting the full cash bail of $165.

April 4, 2017 7:41 p.m.

Kelly O’Toole, age 47, of Westfield, NJ, was arrested on the strength of an outstanding warrant for a traffic ticket. Subject posted bail and was released.

April 4, 2017 8:39 p.m.

Ashton Lofton, age 21, of Hillside, NJ, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia pursuant to a motor vehicle stop. Subject was transported to headquarters, processed and released on a summons.

April 4, 2017 8:39 p.m.

James Jenkins, age 22, of Westfield, NJ, was arrested for possession of controlled dangerous substances and possession of drug paraphernalia, pursuant to a motor vehicle stop. Subject was transported to headquarters, processed and released on a summons.
