August 1, 2017 9 p.m.

Ryan A. Johnson, age 18, of Elizabeth, NJ, was arrested for an outstanding criminal warrant ($500) out of Clark Municipal Court pursuant to a traffic stop in the area of South Avenue and Cacciola Place. Subject was transported to Westfield Police Headquarters where he was processed and released on his own recognizance.

A resident from St. Marks Avenue reports being the victim of credit card fraud. Victim reports that unknown actor(s) used her information and charged $3,502.74 on her credit card.

 

August 2, 2017 10:28 p.m.

A resident of the 800 block of Shackamaxon Drive reports being the victim of a theft. Unknown actor(s) stole the victims men’s Giant bicycle, valued at $430.

 

August 3, 2017 11:55 a.m.

Mr. Bernard Solomon, age 36, of Rahway, NJ, was arrested on the strength of one outstanding traffic warrant issued by the Clark Municipal Court pursuant to a traffic stop on Central Avenue near Oxford Terrace. He was transported to Westfield Police Headquarters for arrest, processing and was released after posting the requisite cash bail.

 

August 3, 2017 2:48 p.m.

Officers McCarthy and Kenny arrested Leonardo D. Milani, age 21, of Springfield, NJ, for possession of less than 50 grams of suspected marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia subsequent to a motor vehicle stop. Subject was transported to Westfield Police Department, processed and released.

 

August 3, 2017 2:35 p.m.

Morell Morand, age 26, of North Brunswick, NJ, was arrested on the strength of multiple warrants for his arrest pursuant to a motor vehicle stop. North Brunswick $1,000, Monroe Township $1,000, New Brunswick $500, Franklin Township $226. Subject was arrested, processed and posted bail.

 

August 3, 2017 4:57 p.m.

Juan J. Barrow, age 21, of Plainfield, NJ, was arrested for possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia pursuant to a traffic stop in the area of Prospect Street near Ferris Place. Subject was transported to Westfield Police Department where he was processed and released with a summons.

 

August 4, 2017 11:03 p.m.

A resident of the 500 block of Wychwood Road reported that his bicycle was stolen on this date during the hours of 10:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. The bicycle is described as a dark blue “Nion” mountain bicycle valued at $100. Bicycle was left unsecured in the front lawn of a residence.

 

August 6, 2017 5:41 p.m.

A resident of the 300 block of Woods End Road reported that his vehicle was burglarized between the hours of 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. Vehicle was parked in front of his residence, unlocked. When victim returned to his vehicle he noticed some items were strewn about but stated nothing was stolen.

 

August 6, 2017 5:09 p.m.

A resident of the 300 block of Woods End Road reported that her vehicle was burglarized between the hours of 4:15 p.m. and 5 p.m. on August 6. Victim stated vehicle was unlocked in front of residence when she returned. Various items were strewn throughout the vehicle but stated nothing was missing.

 

August 6, 2017 5:36 p.m.

A resident of the 300 block of Woods End Road reported that his vehicle was burglarized between August 4 at 5 p.m. and August 6 at 5 p.m. Vehicle was parked in front of residence unsecured. When he returned to his vehicle he observed items were strewn about and approximately $10 in change was taken. No suspect at this time.

 

August 7, 2017 12:05 a.m.

Officers Forcenito and Santangelo arrested Elmer E. Iraheta, age 23, of Piscataway, NJ, for possession of marijuana under 50 grams pursuant to a motor vehicle stop in the area of 600 West South Avenue. Subject was transported to headquarters, processed and released on a complaint summons.

 

August 7, 2017 8:42 a.m.

A resident of the 1000 block of Tice Place reported that his Audi A6 was stolen from the driveway of his residence between 11 p.m. on August 6 and 8 a.m. on August 7. Victim reported that the vehicle was unlocked and the keys were in the vehicle.

Officers Natale and Santangelo arrested Mina Garas, age 31, of Scotch Plains, NJ, for possession of a prescription legend drug without a prescription (less than four doses) pursuant to a motor vehicle stop in the area of Springfield Avenue and Woodbrook Circle. Subject was transported to headquarters where he was processed and released with a complaint summons.

 

August 8, 2017 1:41 p.m.

A resident of the 600 block of Dorian Road reports being the victim of a theft. Unknown actor(s) stole packages from the victim totaling $107.80.
