Officer Santangelo arrested Hakan Kaya, age 46, of Westfield, New Jersey on an outstanding warrant (#E19490) in the amount of $304.00 out of Neptune City Municipal Court pursuant to turning himself in at WPD Headquarters. Subject was processed and released after posting the full bail amount.

Lieutenant McFarlean and Officer McCarthy arrested Patricia Bush, age 54, of South Carolina, for an outstanding criminal warrant ($1,089.00) out of Westfield Municipal Court pursuant to a prisoner pick up in Atlantic County. Subject was transported to Headquarters, processed and held at Westfield Police Department until her court date.

 

June 13, 2018 1:02 a.m.

Officers Martinez and Weiss arrested Erick Nietd, age 30, of Plainfield, NJ for driving while intoxicated pursuant to a motor vehicle stop at West North Avenue/ Crossway Place. Subject was transported to Headquarters, processed and released to a sober adult.

 

June 12, 2018 6:05 p.m.

Officers Gill and Penn arrested a juvenile at 425 E. North Ave for defiant trespassing. He was transported to Headquarters where he was processed and released to a parent/guardian.

 

June 15, 2018 4:18 p.m.

A resident of the 700 block of Crescent Parkway reports a theft of his bicycle while it was secured with a chain lock at the Northside Train Station. On June 15, 2018 between 1445 hours and 1600 hours unknown actor(s) removed their bicycle, described as a black-colored Schwinn Searcher Road Bicycle, valued at approximately $450.00, from the staircase area of the Northside Train Station platform. Unknown actor(s) also removed the silver-colored chain lock that was attached, valued at approximately $10.00. The approximate total value of the theft is $460.00.

 

June 14, 2018 7:25 p.m.

Officers Forcenito and O’Holla arrested Carlos Emmanuelli (37) of Jersey City for criminal trespass, theft, and obstruction of justice pursuant to a police investigation on Windsor Avenue. Subject was transported to Headquarters where he was processed and later transported to the Union City Jail.

 

June 14, 2018 11:30 p.m.

Officers Gill and Weiss arrested Tenasia Washington (27) of Plainfield, NJ for possession of CDS U50g pursuant to a motor vehicle stop on East South Avenue. She was transported to Headquarters where she was processed and released on a summons with a pending municipal court date.

 

June 17, 2018 11:07 p.m.

Mason Embaye, age 20, of New York, NY was arrested on the strength of an outstanding warrant for his arrest from Atlantic City Municipal Court in the amount of #350.00 Further investigation revealed subject was in possession of CDS. Subject was processed and released on summonses.

 

June 17, 2018 9:30 p.m.

A resident from Carol Road reports being the victim of an act of criminal mischief to their vehicle. Victim states that unknown actor flattened the tire of their vehicle.

A resident from Carol Road reports being the victim of an act of criminal mischief to their vehicle. Victim states that unknown actor flattened a tire and broke a window.

 

June 18, 2018 1:00 p.m.

A resident of the 200 block of Sunset Ave reported two of their tires were sashed on their 2013 Dodge while it was parked on the roadway in front of their residence between 6/16 and 6/18 causing approximately $600.00 in damage.

 

June 18, 2018 1:09 p.m.

Howard J Starkes, age 54, of Scotch Plains, NJ was arrested for shoplifting from a business in the 200 Block of W. South Ave. after fleeing the scene and subsequent traffic stop. Subject was also charged with hindering apprehension during the arrest process when he lied about his identity. Subjected was charged, issued summonses and released.

 

June 19, 2018 8:11 p.m.

Joseph Stephens, age 39, of Elizabeth, NJ was arrested for the outstanding warrant for his arrest from Newark Municipal Court on the amount of $750.00. Subject was processed and R.O.R’d.
