Westfield Police Blotter: Drug-Related Arrests, Shoplifting & More

June 15, 2017 1:46 a.m.

Jasper Moss, age 26, of Plainfield, NJ, was arrested on the strength of an outstanding warrant for his arrest from Westfield Municipal Court in the amount of $500. Subject was processed and unable to post bail and placed in cell #3.

June 13, 2017 3:39 p.m.

The following subjects were arrested for possession of controlled dangerous substances and possession of drug paraphernalia pursuant to a party call:

Jack Oates, age 19, from Westfield, NJ

*Ryan Bowman, age 19, from Westfield, NJ

Charles McCready, age 19, from Westfield, NJ

John Petrovcik, age 19, from Westfield, NJ

All subjects were processed and released on summonses.

 

June 15, 2017 12:22 p.m.

Alyssa M Vita, age 23 of Springfield, NJ, was arrested at Westfield Police Department for outstanding warrants from Union Municipal Court (Bail $250) and North Warren Municipal Court (Bail $500). She was processed and released on her own recognizance from both jurisdictions.

 

June 15, 2017 12:13 p.m.

Jonathan Bravo, age 23, of Union, NJ, was arrested at Westfield Police Department for an outstanding warrant issued by Union Police Department with bail set at $350. Subject was processed and released on recognizance by Union Police Department.

 

June 14, 2017 3:46 p.m.

Officers Kenny and Weiss arrested Paul Boutsikakis, age 82, of Elizabeth, NJ, for shoplifting from a business located in the 100 Block of Quimby Street. Subject was transported to Westfield Police Department, processed and released on a summons.

 

June 15, 2017 4:30 p.m.

Albert Salina Vazquez, age 31, of Garnerville, NY, was arrested on June 15, 2017 and charged with criminal sexual contact subsequent to an investigation of an incident that occurred on June 14 in the area of Tice Place/West Grove Street. Subject was processed at Westfield Police Department and released with a mandatory Union County Superior Court date.

 

June 15, 2017 3:19 p.m.

A Westfield resident reported the theft of two (2) cell phones from their unlocked motor vehicle while it was parked at a business in the 700 Block of West South Ave on June 15 between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. The approximate value of the stolen phones is $800.

 

June 16, 2017 12:30 p.m.

A resident of Middlesex reported the theft of $125 US currency from their locker at a business in the 200 block of Clark Street between 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. on June 14, 2017.

 

June 18, 2017 10:12 p.m.

Officers Forcenito and Johnson arrested Michael Odwyer 4th, age 21, of Keyport, NJ, for possession of controlled dangerous substances (marijuana) under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia pursuant to a motor vehicle stop in the area of North Avenue West and Charles Street. Subject was transported to Westfield Police Department where he was processed and released on a summons.

 

June 18, 2017 11:40 p.m.

Officers Santangelo and Natale arrested Quason Johnson, age 25, of Newark, NJ, on an outstanding NCIC (National Crime Information Center) warrant (warrant #CS51941782B) out of the Somerset County Sherriff’s office in the amount of $13,845 (no 10 percent option). Subject was transported to headquarters where he was processed and released to the Somerset County sheriff’s office.

 

June 20, 2017 9:30 a.m.

Report of an identity theft filed by a resident of the 300 block of Springfield Avenue. The victim reported that actor(s) unknown gained access to her computer and she fears that her tax return information was accessed.

 

June 20, 2017 10:32 p.m.

Officer Bagan and Officer Forcenito arrested Terry A. Simons, age 39, of South Amboy, NJ, pursuant to a motor vehicle stop in the 700 block of Central Avenue for an outstanding ATS warrant (#A75076) out of the South Amboy Municipal Court in the amount of $500. Subject was transported to headquarters where he was processed and released having posted the full bail amount.

 

June 18, 2017 12:53 a.m.

Officers Santangelo and Johnson arrested Olis Smith, age 20, of Conyers, Georgia, pursuant to a motor vehicle stop at the intersection of Cacciola Place and Central Avenue for possession of controlled dangerous substances under 50 grams. Subject was transported to Westfield Police Department headquarters where he was processed and released on a summons.

 

June 20, 2017 7:10 p.m.

A resident of the 700 block of Boulevard reported a theft and burglary to his unlocked motor vehicle out of the driveway of his residence between 10 p.m. on June 18, 2017 and 6 a.m. on June 20, 2017. Victim reports one item having been taken from his vehicle. The item was described as an EZ pass tag purchased in New York. Estimated value of the stolen item is approximately $30.

 

June 20, 2017 10:47 p.m.

Officers Natale and Santangelo arrested Brianna Reid, age 24, of Berkeley Heights, NJ, for possession of controlled dangerous substances (marijuana) under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia pursuant to a motor vehicle stop in the area of the 700 block of Central Avenue. Subject was transported to headquarters where she was processed and released on a summons.
