Officers arrested Daniel Alvarez, 20, of Roselle Park, for possession of marijuana under 50 grams, police said. The arrest was made pursuant to a motor vehicle stop in the area of Central Avenue and Elizabeth Avenue, police said. He was transported to Westfield Police Headquarters, processed and released on a summons, police said.

Christopher Finan, 32, of Scotch Plains, was arrested for driving while intoxicated pursuant to a traffic stop in the area of Scotch Plains Avenue and Crossway Place, police said. Finan was processed and later released to a sober adult, police said.

A man told police that his green Gary Fischer bicycle valued at $500 with a silver helmet valued at $35 and a master cable combination valued at $43 was stolen from the south side of the Westfield Train Station between 10:30 a.m. July 29 and 12:50 a.m. July 30, police said.

A woman told police that an unknown person slashed her front passenger tire while her vehicle was parked in the 100 block of Barchester Way, police said.

Officers arrested Vladimir Dalton, 28, of Linden, at the Roselle Police Department on the strength of an outstanding Westfield Municipal Court warrant in the amount of $2,000, police said. He was transported to police headquarters, where he was processed and held pending bail, police said.

Officers arrested Nicholas Melchionna, 18, of Union, for possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, police said. He was arrested pursuant to a motor vehicle stop on Nomehegan Drive, then transported to headquarters, processed and released on a summons, police said.

Aug. 3 at 3:17 a.m.

An officer arrested Maxim Augustin, 50, of Scotch Plains, on a warrant out of Secaucus in the amount of $250, police said. The arrest was made pursuant to a motor vehicle stop in the area of Lamberts Mill and Raritan roads in Westfield, police said. Augustin posted bail and was later released, police said.

Aug. 3 at 4:41 a.m.

Officers arrested Ryan Hinderliter, 21, of Westfield, for criminal trespass, which took place at Roosevelt Intermediate School, police said. He was processed and later released on a summons, police said.

Aug. 4 at 4:30 p.m.

Officers arrested Vayjay A. Branch, 25, of Orange on the strength of an outstanding Westfield Municipal Court warrant in the amount of $1,000. Officers picked him up at the Irvington Police Department and transported him to Westfield Police headquarters, where he was processed and held in lieu of bail.

Aug. 5 at 3:03 a.m.

Ronald Powell, 63, of Plainfield, was arrested on the strength of an outstanding Westfield Municipal Court warrant in the amount of $1,000, police said. Officers picked him up at the South Plainfield Police Department and transported him to Westfield Police Headquarters, where he was processed and held in lieu of bail, police said.

Aug. 7 at 7:20 p.m.

Officers responded to the Essex County Correctional Facility in Newark for a warrant pickup, police said. The officers placed Terrell Morris, 52, of Boonton, under arrest on the strength of an outstanding warrant out of the Westfield Municipal Court, transported him to police headquarters in Westfield and placed him in a cell in lieu of bail, police said.

Aug. 9 at 1:01 a.m.

Terrell Coley, 29, of East Orange, was arrested on the strength of an outstanding warrant out of the Westfield Municipal Court in the amount of $1,000, police said. Westfield police picked him up at the Essex County Correctional Facility in Newark, police said. He was transported to the Union County Jail, where he was held in lieu of bail, police said.

An officer arrested Joseph Rickard, 71, of Roselle, for driving while intoxicated, disorderly conduct, and obstruction of justice pursuant to a traffic stop in the area of Elm Street and Kimball Avenue, police said. He was processed and later released to a sober adult, police said.

Johanna Rios, 47, of Westfield, was arrested for driving while intoxicated, police said. The arrest was made pursuant to a traffic stop in the 100 block of Central Avenue, police said. Rios was processed and later released to a sober adult, police said.
