Westfield Police Blotter: DWI, Drug-Related Arrests & More


January 19, 2017 11:01 a.m.

Officers McCarthy and Jackus arrested Mark Monroe, age 29, of Plainfield, NJ, on an outstanding criminal warrant ($99) out of Clinton Township Municipal Court pursuant to a motor vehicle stop in the area of E. South Avenue and Windsor Avenue. Subject was transported to headquarters, posted requisite bail and released.

Officers Donovan and Jackus arrested Roger Rivera, age 24, of Iselin, NJ, for possession of a controlled dangerous substance (marijuana) under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia pursuant to an investigation in the area of Frazee Court and Central Avenue. Subject was transported to headquarters, processed and released on a summons.

January 19, 2017 9:49 a.m.

Officers Gill and Jackus arrested Katiana Carelus, age 31, of West Orange, NJ, on an outstanding traffic warrant out of Fanwood Municipal Court pursuant to a motor vehicle stop in the area of North Avenue West and Charles Street. Subject was transported to headquarters, processed and released after posting requisite bail.

January 19, 2017 3:58 a.m.

Officers Began and Santangelo arrested Thomas Mueller, age 21, of Westfield, NJ, for driving while intoxicated pursuant to an investigation at 425 East Broad St. Subject was processed and released to a sober adult with a mandatory court date.

January 20, 2017

Officers Forcenito and Natale arrested James Miller, age 22, of High Street, Westville, NJ, and Jessie Keller, age 31, of Wendee Way, Sewell, NJ for possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia pursuant to motor vehicle stop in the area of Central Avenue and Massachusetts Street. Subsequently, Jessie Keller was also arrested on the strength of two Camden Municipal Court warrants totaling $1,000 and Marlton Municipal Court warrant in the amount of $500. Subjects were processed and released on a summons. Keller was released on recognizance on all warrants.

January 20, 2017 11:50 p.m.

Douglas M. Smith, age 28, of Newark, NJ, was arrested at the Irvington Police Department on the strength of Westfield Municipal Court warrant ($1,500) and Union Township Municipal Court warrant ($500). Subject was transported to Westfield Police Department headquarters where he was processed and held in lieu of bail.

January 24, 2017 9:24 a.m.

Rachele David, age 36, of Westfield, NJ, was taken into custody on two warrants in the 800 block of Forest Avenue. The two warrants were: $500 Delran, NJ and $750 Westampton, NJ. David was released on recognizance on the Delran warrant and posted bail for the Westampton warrant.

January 24, 2017 8:10 p.m.

Officers Natale and Martinez arrested Jonathan A. Rivera-Avila, age 22, of Plainfield, NJ, for an outstanding traffic warrant ($81) out of Fanwood Municipal Court pursuant to a motor vehicle stop in the area of Kimball Avenue and Elm Street. Subject was transported to headquarters, processed and released after posting requisite bail.
