Westfield Police Blotter: Man Arrested in Connection with Burglaries & More

April 12, 2017 9 p.m.

On April 12, 2017, members of the Westfield Police Department Detective bureau and crime response team unit arrested Jon Rincom of Roselle in connection with several burglaries. Rincom was charged with two counts of third degree burglary. Rincom was transported to Union County Jail.

Tashawn Beckford, age 20, of Newark, NJ, was arrested on the strength of an outstanding warrant for his arrest from Westfield Municipal Court in the amount of $1,000. Further investigation revealed subject had an additional warrant from Mountainside Municipal Court in the amount of $375. Subject was processed, unable to post bail and committed to Union County Jail.

April 21, 2017 2:48 a.m.

Elizabeth Geller, age 45, of Westfield was arrested on the strength of two warrants from Westfield Municipal Court for parking violations. Subject was processed and posted bail.

April 20, 2017 2:26 p.m.

A resident in the 500 block of Downer Street reported the theft of a blue with orange trim trek mountain bike from their back porch on April 20, 2017 between 8 a.m. and 12 noon. The value of the stolen bike was reported as $200.

April 20, 2017 3:43 p.m.

A resident of Westfield reported the theft of an iPhone 6S (Rose Gold colored) and pink protective case from Edison School on April 20, 2017, between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. The value of the stolen items is $400.

April 22, 2017 12:05 a.m.

William Kitzman, age 31, of Sewaren, NJ, was arrested on the strength of an outstanding warrant for his arrest from Westfield Municipal Court. Subject was processed and posted bail.

April 21, 2017 11:58 p.m.

Lucas Bannon, age 19, of Staten Island, NY, was arrested for possession of controlled dangerous substances pursuant to a motor vehicle stop. Subject was processed and released on a summons.

April 22, 2017 2:47 a.m.

Michael Ruggieri, age 49, of Scotch Plains, NJ, was arrested for possession of controlled dangerous substances (heroin), possession of controlled dangerous substances (cocaine) and possession of drug paraphernalia, pursuant to a motor vehicle stop. Subject was processed and released on summonses.

April 22, 2017 2:47 a.m.

Danielle Ruffin, age 27, of Elizabeth, NJ, was arrested for possession of controlled dangerous substances (heroin), possession of controlled dangerous substances (cocaine) and possession of drug paraphernalia. Further investigation revealed subject had warrants from Newark for $5,000 and Elizabeth for $1,750, pursuant to a motor vehicle stop. Subject was processed and held in cell no. 1.

April 22, 2017 3:39 p.m.

Antonette Wauer, age 37, of Rahway, NJ, was arrested on the strength of an outstanding warrant from the Westfield Municipal Court in the amount of $500. She was processed and posted bail.

April 23, 2017 10:55 a.m.

A resident of the 700 block of Norman Place reported being the victim of an unlawful use of his credit card. The victim reported suspect(s) unknown found his lost bank cards and made $2,742.05 of online purchases with it.

April 22, 2017 5:53 p.m.

A Westfield Police Department parking officer located a blue-colored “Chase” credit card in the Municipal Parking Lot 1 paystation, which is located off of Elm Street. The card was secured and placed into the temporary evidence locker.

April 22, 2017 7:49 p.m.

A found wallet was brought to headquarters after it was retrieved from Mindowaskin Park. The wallet is described as a black-colored leather bi-fold containing $8 currency, a Wells Fargo debit card, a TD bank gift card, a Cold Stone gift card, a chocolate bar gift card, a Subway card and a Lets Yo! card. The wallet was secured and placed into the temporary evidence locker.

April 23, 2017 5:09 p.m.

Officer Habeiche arrested Margaret Bruton, age 41, of Rahway, NJ, for an outstanding traffic warrant out of the Westfield Municipal Court ($1,153) pursuant to turning herself in at headquarters. Subject was processed and released after posting requisite bail.

April 23, 2017 10:13 p.m.

Officers Natale and R. Johnson arrested Tyree Mills on the strength of Newark municipal warrant in the amount of $2,000 and Arianne Mathison, age 28, of Newark, NJ, on the strength of a Newark municipal warrant in the amount of $100 pursuant to a motor vehicle stop in the area of Lamberts Road near Raritan Road. Subjects were transported to headquarters where they were processed and released on recognizance by Newark Municipal Court.

April 24, 2017 11:12 p.m.

Officers Natale and Martinez arrested Jonathan Bravo, age 23, of Union, NJ, on two outstanding warrants out of the Westfield Municipal Court (criminal warrant/$2,500 and traffic warrant/$500) pursuant to a motor vehicle stop on Mountain Avenue in Mountainside, N.J. Subject was transported to headquarters and placed in cell no. one in lieu of posted $3,000 bail.

April 24, 2017 11:32 p.m.

Officers Natale and Martinez arrested Jonathan Bravo, age 23, of Arbor Lane in Union, NJ, on the strength of Westfield Municipal Court #2020 S 2017 00039 in the amount of $2,500 and #2020 S 2017 3889 in the amount of $500, total amount of bail $3,000, pursuant to a motor vehicle stop in the area of Mountain Avenue near Woodland Avenue, Subject was transported to headquarters where he was processed and committed default of bail.

April 25, 2017 2:28 a.m.

Officers Natale and Martinez arrested Daniel Clemens, age 25, of the 700 block of Prospect Street for driving while intoxicated pursuant to a motor vehicle stop in the area of Prospect Street and East Dudley Ave. Subject was transported to headquarters where he was processed and released to a sober adult.

April 26, 2017 12:25 a.m.

Officers Natale and Martinez arrested Adam Socei, age 27, of Linden, NJ, for possession of marijuana under 50 grams pursuant to a motor vehicle stop in the area of Willow Grove Road and Rahway Avenue. Subject was transported to headquarters where he was processed and released with a summons.
