A resident of Mountainside reported that her vehicle was burglarized during the daytime hours of Dec. 26, police said. The vehicle had been parked near Mindowaskin Park and was left unlocked. Stolen was an iPhone valued at $500, according to police.

A resident of the 700 block of Highland Avenue reported their vehicle was stolen while parked in front of their residence, police said. The vehicle was apparently unlocked with a key fob inside it, police said. The vehicle is valued at about $40,000, according to police.

A resident of New York, New York, reported that her vehicle was stolen from the 600 block of Maye Street, police said. The vehicle was parked in the driveway, unlocked with a key fob left inside the vehicle, police said. The vehicle is worth about $20,000, police said.

Jan. 4, 2020 at 11:34 a.m.

A resident of the 800 block of New England Drive reported a burglary to their automobile, police said. The vehicle was parked in the victim’s driveway and unlocked at the time of the incident, police said. The thief stole the victim’s wallet and then fraudulently used the victim’s bankcard, police said. The thief also took $12 in cash from the vehicle, according to police.
