Officers O’Holla and Jackus arrested Giovanni Smith, age 19, of New York, NY, for possession of a controlled dangerous substance during a motor vehicle stop at North Avenue and Crossway. Subject released on a summons with a court date.

Officers Weiss and Riley arrested Juan Piedra-Guaman, age 19, of Elizabeth, NJ, for possession of marijuana under 50 grams and on the strength of two outstanding warrants out of Roselle Municipal Court ($1,000) subsequent to a motor vehicle stop on North Avenue in Scotch Plains Township. Subject was transported to Westfield Police Department headquarters where he was processed and released on a summons for possession of marijuana under 50 grams. He was unable to post bail for the two outstanding warrants and was turned over to the Roselle Police Department.

Michelle Lopez-Morales, age 19, of Roselle, NJ, was arrested on the strength of an outstanding Roselle Municipal Court warrant ($600) pursuant to a motor vehicle stop in the area of North Avenue in Scotch Plains Township. Subject was transported to Westfield Police Department headquarters where she was processed and turned over to the Roselle Police Department.

February 22, 2017 7:32 p.m.

A resident from the 700 block of Cranford Avenue reports being the victim of a fraud. Unknown actor attained the victim’s information and attempted to have multiple credit cards sent to the actor.

A resident from the 200 block of Chestnut Street reports being the victim of a fraud. Victim states unknown actor(s) obtained her information.

February 23, 2017 9:47 p.m.

Officers Shaughnessy and Swiderski arrested Sherry Nigro, age 45, of Kearny, NJ, for driving while intoxicated pursuant to a motor vehicle stop in the area of Boulevard and Grove Street. Subject was transported to Westfield Police Department headquarters where she was processed and released to a sober and responsible adult.

February 24, 2017 10:29 a.m.

Mr. Jose M. Cruz, age 33, of Jersey City, NJ, was arrested on the strength of one outstanding ATS warrant issued by the New Providence Municipal Court ($714). He was transported to Westfield Police Department headquarters for arrest processing and released after posting bail.

Ms. Dawn. R. Allen, age 35, of Plainfield, NJ, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (marijuana) under 50 grams and possession of CDS paraphernalia pursuant to a traffic stop and subsequent investigation. Ms. Allen was transported to Westfield Police Department headquarters for arrest processing. She was released with a summons to appear before the Westfield Municipal Court.

Officers Jackus and Perkins arrested Robert T. Seagrave, age 29, of Scotch Plains, NJ, for an outstanding criminal warrant out of Union Beach Municipal court ($250) pursuant to a motor vehicle stop in the 400 block of Central Avenue. Subject was transported to headquarters, processed and released after posting requisite bail.

Officers Saunders and Santangelo arrested Julian Tabares, age 34, of Perth Amboy on a $250 ATS warrant out of Green Brook, NJ, during a motor vehicle stop in the 100 block of Prospect Street.

February 26, 2017 8:32 p.m.

Officers Forcenito and Habeiche arrested Adam Molina-Tillman, age 18, of Plainfield, NJ, Eman Fawaz, age 19, of North Plainfield, NJ and a 16-year-old juvenile female from North Plainfield, NJ, for possession of marijuana under 50 grams pursuant to a motor vehicle stop on East Broad Street near Jefferson Avenue. Subjects were transported to headquarters, processed and released. Both adult parties were released on a summons pending a Westfield Municipal Court date. The juvenile female was turned over to a responsible adult.

February 26, 2017 2:27 p.m.

Alfred Voelker, age 23, of Plainfield, NJ, was arrested on the strength of an ATS warrant in the amount of $1,239 out of Fanwood pursuant to a motor vehicle stop in the 600 block of Rahway Avenue. Subject was released on recognizance with a court date.

Officers Forcenito and Natale arrested Robert Horvath Jr. age 19, of Clark, NJ, for possession of marijuana under 50 grams, possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia pursuant to a motor vehicle stop in the area of Sycamore Street and Central Avenue. Subject was transported to headquarters, processed and released on a summons.

March 1, 2017 1:24 a.m.Officers Forcenito and Bagan arrested Frank Washington, age 37, of Elizabeth, NJ, for driving while intoxicated pursuant to a motor vehicle stop in the area of South Avenue and Cacciola Place. Subject was transported to headquarters, processed and released to a sober adult.

March 1, 2017 10:21 a.m.

Ms. Cherie N. Mendes, age 32, of Maplewood, NJ, was arrested on the strength of one outstanding warrant issued by the Maplewood Municipal Court pursuant to a traffic stop on Woodland Avenue for an observed motor vehicle violation. Ms. Mendes was transported to headquarters for arrest processing and was released after posting bail.
