January 8, 2017 4:15 a.m.

Joseph Bruno, age 52, of Westfield, NJ, was arrested for driving while under the influence pursuant to a motor vehicle accident. Subject was processed and issued multiple summonses and released to a responsible party.

Report of shoplifting in the 200 block of W. South Avenue. Victim’s reported suspect(s) unknown took an unknown quantity of merchandise without paying and fled the store.

January 11, 2017 7:38 p.m.

Officers Bagan and Santangelo arrested John R. Lewis, age 27, of North Brunswick, NJ, for an outstanding traffic warrant ($500) out of Westfield Municipal Court pursuant to a pick-up at North Brunswick Police Department. Subject was transported to headquarters. While at headquarters, it was revealed that Lewis had a criminal warrant ($250) out of Hillside Municipal Court and another criminal warrant ($100) out of Elizabeth Municipal Court. Lewis posted requisite bail for the Westfield Municipal Court warrant and was released on his own recognizance for the other two.

January 13, 2017 8:35 a.m.

A resident in the 100 block of Dorian Road reported a burglary to their motor vehicle while it was parked and unlocked in their driveway between 9 p.m. on Jan. 12 and 7:30 a.m on Jan. 13, 2017. At the time of the report, nothing was reported stolen.

January 13, 2017 11:53 a.m.

A resident in the 700 block of Clarence Street reported a burglary and theft from their motor vehicle while it was parked and unlocked in their driveway between Jan. 12 at 9 p.m. and Jan. 13 at 5:00 a.m. Stolen from the motor vehicle was change and an iPhone charger.

January 13, 2017 3:43 p.m.

A Malon brand bicycle (model 540) was found by a resident of Max Place. The bicycle was brought to Westfield Police Department headquarters and stored for safekeeping until it can be turned over to the rightful owner.

January 13, 2017 11:53 a.m.

A resident of the 700 block of Clarence Street reported a burglary and theft from their motor vehicle while it was parked and unlocked in the driveway of the residence between Jan. 12, 2017 at 9:20 p.m. and Jan. 13, 2017 at 11:53 a.m. Stolen from the vehicle was a black LED flashlight.

January 14, 2017 1:06 p.m.

Mr. Alex K. Bartley, age 24, of Cranford, NJ, was arrested by Officers Moya and Jaramillo on the strength of one outstanding ATS arrest warrant issued by the Cranford Municipal Court pursuant to a motor vehicle crash investigation on E. South Avenue. Mr. Bartley was transported to the Westfield Police Department headquarters for arrest processing and was released after posting $250 bail.

January 13, 2017 3:52 p.m.

Stephanie Castro, age 32, of Irvington, NJ, was arrested on the strength of an outstanding warrant for her arrest from Westfield Municipal Court in the amount of $1,000. Subject was processed and bail was posted.

January 14, 2017 1:09 p.m.

A resident from the 800 block of Pennsylvania Avenue reports being the victim of a theft. Unknown actor(s) gained entry into the victim’s vehicle and stole a wallet containing numerous credit cards and personal items.

January 15, 2017 2:22 a.m.

Robert M. Norton, age 33, of Bayonne, NJ, was arrested on the strength of an Bayonne Municipal Court warrant ($816) pursuant to a motor vehicle stop. Subject was transported to Westfield Police Department, processed and released after posting bail.

January 15, 2017 11:39 a.m.

Officers Penn and Ferry arrested Kwasi Sekyi-Nyamekye, age 30, of East Orange, NJ, subsequent to a motor vehicle stop on Trail’s End Court on an outstanding warrants from Elizabeth PD ($500 bail) and Newark ($100 bail). Subject was transported to Westfield Police Department, processed and released on recognizance on both warrants.

January 15, 2017 11:53 a.m.

Officers Jaramillo and R. Johnson arrested Brandon Heath, age 35, of Linden, NJ, subsequent to a motor vehicle stop on an outstanding traffic warrant issued by Union Township with bail set at $200. Subject was transported to Westfield Police Department, processed and released after posting the full cash bail.

January 15, 2017 2:00 p.m.

A resident in the 300 block of Roanoke Road reported an attempted residential burglary and criminal mischief that occurred on Nov. 25, 2016 at 6:40 a.m. The suspect(s) attempt to rip the electrical box of the exterior of the residence causing damage.

January 15, 2017 7:02 p.m.

Anthony Gaddy, age 22, of Plainfield, NJ, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for his arrest from Westfield Municipal Court in the amount of $500. Further investigation revealed that the subject had another warrant for his arrest from Piscataway Municipal Court in the amount of $500. Subject was processed and unable to post bail and held in cell #2.

January 15, 2017 11:23 p.m.

Aiden Donadio, age 20, of Mountainside, NJ, was arrested for possession of a controlled dangerous substance under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia pursuant to a motor vehicle stop. Subject was processed and released on a summons.

January 16, 2017 6:25 p.m.

Officers Habeiche and Jackus arrested Disa Griffin, age 29, of Elmwood Park on the strength of an outstanding warrant issued by Elmwood Municipal Court warrant in the amount of $200 pursuant to a motor vehicle stop in the area of Nomahegan Drive and Springfield Avenue. Subject was processed and released after posting full bail.

January 17, 2017 4:19 p.m.

Officers Kenny and Jackus arrested Catanya Bailey, age 41, of Kensington Avenue, Plainfield, NJ, at Plainfield Police Department headquarters on the strength of an outstanding Westfield Municipal Court warrant in the amount of $1,035. Subject was transported to headquarters where she was processed and transported to Union County Jail in lieu of bail.

January 17, 2017 8:34 p.m.

Officers Forcenito and Martinez arrested Karine Martin, age 49, of Morris Avenue, Elizabeth, NJ, on the strength of Westfield Municipal Court warrant in the amount of $513. Subject was transported from Plainfield Police Department to headquarters where she was processed and released with a court date.
