A customer from a business in the 100 block of Elm Street reported the theft of their wallet while shopping on Nov. 21 between 4:58 p.m. and 5:58 p.m. The value of the theft was reported as $250.

Damar Younge was arrested on the strength of an outstanding warrant from Westfield Municipal Court. Younge, 35, of Newark, NJ, was in the custody of Woodbridge Police Department when he was turned over to the Westfield Police Department. Bail was in the amount of $750.

 

November 24, 2017 1:53 p.m.

Anthony Harper, age 21, of Newark, NJ, was arrested for trespassing, obstructing the administration of law and a no bail warrant issued by Montclair Police Department pursuant to an investigation in the area of Lawrence Avenue and Munsee Way. Subject was transported to headquarters where he was processed and turned over to Montclair Police Department.

 

November 24, 2017 8:06 p.m.

Officers R. Johnson and Officer Natale arrested Ramato A. Brown, age 42, of Linden, NJ, on the strength of the following warrants: Union Municipal Court warrant in the amount of $750 and Newark Municipal Court warrant in the amount of $100. Subject was transported to headquarters where was processed and released after posting bail.

 

November 25, 2017 9:04 p.m.

Officers Martinez and Freeman arrested Ayana Ali-Acibar, age 29, of South Bound Brook, NJ, for possession of controlled dangerous substances (heroin) pursuant to a motor vehicle stop in the area of Central Avenue and South Avenue. Subject was transported to headquarters, processed and released with a complaint-summons.

 

November 27, 2017 2:46 a.m.

Officers Habeiche and Bagan arrested Joshua Sanchez Jr. on the strength of a Nutley Municipal Court warrant in the amount of $233 pursuant to a motor vehicle stop in the area of Lawrence Avenue by Kimball Avenue. Subject was transported to headquarters, processed and released on recognizance.

 

November 27, 2017 11:28 p.m.

Officers Santangelo and Forcenito arrested Daniel Rodriguez, age 32, of Philadelphia, PA, on the strength of an outstanding Perth Amboy Municipal Court warrant in the amount of $750. Subject was transported to headquarters, processed and released after posting full bail.

 

November 28, 2017 12:05 a.m.

Officer Habeiche and R. Johnson arrested Daniel Piatnitsky, age 24, of Westfield, NJ, on the strength of a Philadelphia Police Department warrant with full extradition. Subject was transported to headquarters, processed and placed into cell No. 1 awaiting pickup from the Philadelphia Police Department.

 

November 28, 2017 12:59 p.m.

Derric J. Coleman, age 22, of Plainfield, NJ, responded to WPD to satisfy active traffic warrants issued by Scotch Plains Police Department ($750 bail) and Westfield Police Department ($500 bail). Mr. Coleman was processed, released on recognizance on the Scotch Plains warrant, posted bail on the Westfield warrant and released.
