July 20, 2017 10:31 p.m.

Officer Forcenito and Officer Santangelo arrested Shalise Hairston, age 31, of Plainfield, NJ, for possession of controlled dangerous substances (marijuana) under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia pursuant to a motor vehicle stop in the area of the 500 block of West North Avenue. Subject was transported to the WPD Headquarters where she was processed and released on a summon.

Officer Fourre arrested Viramae A. Sanchez, age 23, of Linden, NJ, for an outstanding traffic warrant ($89) out of Westfield Municipal Court. Pursuant to turning herself in at headquarters, subject was processed and released after posting requisite bail.

 

July 20, 2017 12:19 a.m.

Officers Martinez and Santangelo arrested Peter Suydam, age 18, of Union, NJ, for possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia and Ausett Walker, 18, of Linden, NJ, for possession of marijuana under 50 grams pursuant to a motor vehicle stop in the area of South Avenue and Cacciola Place. Both parties were processed and given a summons.

 

July 21, 2017 3:25 p.m.

Officer O’Holla arrested Ralph Charles, age 26, of Union, NJ, for an outstanding traffic warrant ($89) out of Parsippany Municipal Court pursuant to a motor vehicle stop of Central Avenue near Pearl Street. Subject was transported to headquarters, processed and released after posting requisite bail.

 

July 21, 2017 6:35 p.m.

A resident of Pine Court reports being the victim of a burglary to his two unlocked motor vehicles parked in his driveway. Approximately $50 in cash was reported stolen. There is no suspect(s) in formation at this time.

 

July 21, 2017 10:02 p.m.

A business in the 200 block of West South Avenue reports being the victim of a shoplifting, Suspect is a black female, late forties, shoulder-length black hair wearing a gray sweater and black tights. Merchandise stolen is approximately $125.04.

 

July 22, 2017 4:51 p.m.

A resident of Plainfield, NJ, reported the theft of his bicycle while it was placed, unsecure, in a rear parking area in the 100 block of Central Avenue. The theft occurred between 11:30 p.m. on July 21, 2017 and 12:30 p.m. on July 22, 2017. The bicycle is described as a blue/white-colored, 20 inch Kent Ambush BMX Bicycle, valued at approximately $70.

 

July 22, 2017 9:56 p.m.

Officer Freeman and Sergeant Malongy arrested Joseph Fogee, 25, of Westfield, NJ, for possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia pursuant to a motor vehicle stop in the area of Elm Street by East Dudley Avenue. Subject was transported to headquarters where he was processed and released with a complaint-summons.

 

July 23, 2017 11:29 a.m.

A resident in the 500 block of Sherwood Parkway reported a burglary to their motor vehicle while it was parked and unlocked in the driveway between 11 p.m. on July 22, 2017 and 11:29 a.m.

 

July 23, 2017 2:32 p.m.

Daniel Krause, age 29, of Westfield was arrested on the strength of multiple warrants for his arrest: Piscataway $2,353, Plainfield $500, North Plainfield $500, South Plainfield $500, North Plainfield $250. Subject was processed and unable to post bail. Subject was released on recognizance from Piscataway and transported over to Plainfield Police Department.

 

July 23, 2017 3:58 p.m.

Thomas Flanagan, age 32, of Cranford, NJ, was arrested on the strength of an outstanding warrant for his arrest from Westfield Municipal Court in the amount of $1,000. Subject was processed and posted bail.

 

July 24, 2017 2:58 p.m.

Latoya Vassell, age 33, of Jersey City was arrested at Newark Police Department on the strength of multiple warrants for her arrest: Westfield $500, Cranford $500 and Jersey City $689. Subject was transported back to Westfield Police Department, processed and placed in cell no. one.

 

July 24, 2017 at 12:24 p.m.

Officers Domanoski and Kenny arrested Tina M. Worden, age 25, of Linden, NJ, for outstanding traffic warrants issued by Westfield Municipal Court subsequent to a motor vehicle stop. Subject was transferred to Westfield Police Department, processed and released after posting the full bail.

 

July 24, 2017 5:29 p.m.

Andra Morten, age 47, of Plainfield, NJ was arrested on the strength of an outstanding warrant for her arrest from Piscataway Municipal Court pursuant to a motor vehicle stop. Subject was processed and released on recognizance.

 

July 25, 2017 11:42 a.m.

Officers Domanowski and Kenny arrested a 16-year-old juvenile for possession of controlled dangerous substances and possession of drug paraphernalia subsequent to an investigation in the 100 block of Belvidere Avenue. Subject was transported to Westfield Police Department, processed and released to a parent.

 

July 25, 2017 5:27 p.m.

A resident of Westfield reported being the victim of theft and fraud. Victim stated that on July 25, 2017 her wallet was stolen in the area of East Broad Street and Prospect Street by unknown actor(s). The wallet contained numerous credit cards, identification and $280 in U.S. currency. Shortly after the wallet was stolen, unknown actor(s) used a stolen credit card to make purchases online.

 

July 26, 2017 12:15 a.m.

Gareth S. Morgan, age 20, of Parlin, NJ, was arrested for possession of controlled dangerous substances (marijuana) and possession of drug paraphernalia pursuant to a motor vehicle stop in the area of Central Avenue and Harrow Road. He was transported to Westfield Police headquarters here he was processed and released with a summons pending court appearance at the Westfield Municipal Court.
