A resident of the 300 block of Windsor Ave reports being the victim of a fraud. Victim states that unknown actor(s) gained access to the victims information and charged $477 to the victim’s credit card.

Robert J. Ventura, age 57, of Scotch Plains was arrested for driving while intoxicated pursuant to a motor vehicle accident investigation in the area of East Broad Street near Elm Street. Subject was processed and released to a sober responsible adult.

June 8, 2017 5:29 a.m.

Dominique D. Davis, Age 20 of Newark, NJ, was arrested by South Orange Police Department on an outstanding criminal Westfield warrant. Subject was transported to WPD headquarters where he was processed and held pending a court appearance on June 8, 2017 at Westfield Municipal Court.

June 10, 2017 1:49 a.m.

Shanika Major, age 20, of 3rd Street, Piscataway, was arrested by Officers Natale and Santangelo for possession of marijuana under 50 grams pursuant to a motor vehicle stop in the area of Rahway Avenue into Clark Township. Subject was transported to headquarters where she was processed and released with a complaint summons.

June 10, 2017 7:45 p.m.

Officers Santangelo and Forcenito arrested Anthony Debellus, age 23, of Jackson Avenue, Scotch Plains, on the strength of an outstanding South Plainfield warrant in the area of $539. Subject was transported to headquarters and released after posting full bail.

June 11, 2017 2:43 a.m.

Officers Natale and Martinez arrested Walter Nagiewicz, age 21, of Newark, for possession of controlled dangerous substances (Xanax), possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia pursuant to a motor vehicle stop in the area of W. North Avenue and Edgewood Avenue. Also arrested was Jonathan Vieira, age 24, of Westfield on the strength of an outstanding Plainfield warrant in the amount of $800. Both subjects were transported to headquarters, processed and Gotthardt was released with a complaint summons. Vieira was released after posting full bail.

June 9, 2017 9:33 a.m.

Report of a burglary/theft to a victim in the 700 block of Harding Street. Value of theft was $275. It was reported that suspect(s) unknown entered an unlocked vehicle in the driveway and took a purse belonging to the victim.

June 13, 2017 12:25 a.m.

Officers Natale and Johnson arrested Vincent Lazard, age 20, of Cranford, NJ, for possession of controlled dangerous substances (marijuana) under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia pursuant to a motor vehicle stop in the area of Gallows Hill Road and Fairacres Avenue. Subject was transported to WPD headquarters where he was processed and released on a summons.

June 12, 2017

A victim of the 600 block of Clark Street in Westfield, NJ, reports being the victim of a theft. Victim states that an unidentified male stole a “brute” garbage can, valued at $130, and removed it from his property without authorization. The garbage can is described as a gray and black-colored “brute” garbage can made by Rubbermaid.

June 13, 2017 7:15 p.m.

Michael Brown, age 28, of Trenton, NJ, was arrested on the strength of an outstanding warrant from Westfield Municipal Court in the amount of $750. Further investigation revealed that subject had addition warrants from Manville Boro, $500, and Phillipsburg Township, $500. Subject was processed and unable to post bail. Subject to be committed to the Union County jail.
